Each service lasts about an hour and is carefully planned with you in mind and what the Lord is guiding our hearts to do in honor of Him.
- Service Norms
Before you’re seated, make your way to our Coffee Bar to enjoy freshly brewed coffee prepared just for you by our Coffee Team. Feel free to carry your cup with a lid into the Auditorium and enjoy your service.
- Service Time Line
Our services normally begin with an upbeat song that should be familiar and flow into more worshipful songs in order to help us Love God. Don’t worry, if you don’t know the words, they will be on the screen to help you sing along. Our daily host will come to welcome and encourage our guests and to transition us into our message. Our communicators are very compelling, relevant and easy to understand using stories from strong Biblical roots, current events, life applications and personal touches that fit where you are in life’s journey. Our service will end after about an hour with a time to participate in giving and an opportunity for people to take their Next Step in Christ through Salvation. First time guest are not pressured to give or participate in any way…we consider the service our gift to you.
- Service Semi-Regular Elements
Some services will include the opportunity for people to participate in different aspects of faith. Monthly, one of our services will have a time for Communion and prayer for the sick. Four times per year we have a special Sunday Night Service to give people who have made a decision for Christ to go public with their faith through Baptism. We also offer our Next Step Class after the 4th Sunday of each month for people to connect with the SouthPoint family in a deeper way through Membership, Small Groups or Joining a Serve Team.
- OUR DRESS CODE IS BLACK TIE OPTIONAL
We are more concerned with people’s hearts than what they are wearing. Feel free to wear what you want, whether that’s a suit or shorts. The only thing that may be questionable would be any college football t-shirt other than UGA….due to our Pastor’s love of the Bulldogs. We know that visiting a new church can often be intimidating so don’t worry, we won’t ask you to raise your hand or do anything that will embarrass or single you out in anyway. Coffee is on us, our band will play a few songs and each week’s message lasts for about 30 minutes.
Through our dynamic music, relevant messages and creative environments, we desire that you and your family will continuously take the next step in your journey of faith.
